Aging Well
September 10, 2008
I am in the process of reading George Villant’s book “Aging Well”. This is a facinating “bringing together” of findings from three separate longitudinal studies on the process of aging. No surprise that not smoking, or drinking alcohol in excess, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising some, getting educated and using a positive coping style are markers for a successful old age. And in addition, having a stable marriage helps too. Or, perhaps being healthy and positive contributes to having a stable marriage? That one could go either way. I recommend this book.
